Privacy Policy
How EveryCal collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information.
Last updated: October 8, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the EveryCal mobile applications, everycal.ai, and related services (together, the “Services”). It does not apply to third-party services that have their own privacy policies.
EveryCal is designed for people age 13 and older. If you use the Services on behalf of another person, you confirm that you are authorized to provide their information and make choices for them.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, authentication identifiers, and account preferences.
- Profile and goal information: birth date or age, height, weight, target weight, activity level, dietary preferences, allergies, goals, and, if you choose to provide it, pregnancy or breastfeeding status.
- Nutrition and wellness information: meals, foods, recipes, calorie and nutrient data, water intake, exercise, steps, weight logs, progress photos, and notes.
- Photos, labels, and audio: meal or nutrition-label photos and voice recordings you choose to submit for analysis or transcription.
- Communications: messages and support requests you send to us.
Information collected from your device or use
- Device and technical data: device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, IP address, crash information, and security logs.
- Usage data: feature interactions and product events. Product analytics are subject to your in-app analytics choice where required.
- Subscription information: product, entitlement, renewal status, and transaction references. Apple or Google processes your payment details; we do not receive your full card number.
Connected health services
If you choose to connect Apple Health or Health Connect, we access only the data types you authorize, such as steps, workouts, weight, or active energy. You can change permissions in your device settings and disconnect the integration in EveryCal. We do not use connected health data for advertising.
3. How we use information
- Provide, personalize, synchronize, and secure the Services.
- Estimate calories, portions, foods, and nutrients from content you submit.
- Create nutrition plans, progress insights, reports, reminders, and summaries.
- Maintain subscriptions and restore purchases.
- Respond to support requests and send service-related communications.
- Detect abuse, troubleshoot issues, and protect accounts and the Services.
- Measure and improve features when analytics is enabled.
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements.
AI-generated results are estimates. You can review and edit an analysis before it is saved to your diary.
4. AI processing and media retention
Before you first use AI features, we ask for your explicit permission to send the photos, meal descriptions, or voice recordings you choose, language and region settings, and a pseudonymous safety identifier to OpenAI for nutrition estimates or transcription. You can decline and log food manually, or withdraw permission in Privacy settings. Do not submit images or recordings you do not have permission to use.
Meal-analysis and nutrition-label images are automatically deleted from EveryCal 30 days after upload. This is the same retention period for every account. You can delete analysis images at any time from Privacy settings. Transcription audio is deleted after processing or within 24 hours of upload. Progress photos remain until you delete them or your account, subject to backup and legal-retention exceptions.
5. Service providers and subprocessors
We may disclose the minimum information needed to vendors that process data for us under contract. The providers used can vary by platform, location, and enabled feature.

6. No sale of personal data
EveryCal does not sell customer data to third parties. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use consumer health data to build advertising profiles or permit our service providers to use it for their own advertising.
7. Your choices and controls
- AI, analytics, and health data: manage consent choices in the app’s Privacy settings.
- Images: analysis images are automatically deleted after 30 days; you can delete them sooner at any time.
- Access and portability: request an account export from Settings → Reports.
- Correction: edit your profile, diary, foods, recipes, and goals in the app.
- Deletion: request verified account deletion from Privacy settings or follow the web account deletion instructions.
- Notifications: change reminders in the app and push permissions in device settings.
- Health connections: disconnect EveryCal and revoke individual permissions through the app or your device’s health settings.
8. Retention
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. Retention depends on the data type, your settings, operational needs, and legal requirements. Analytics events are generally scheduled for deletion after 180 days. Reports are temporary. Account deletion removes or de-identifies account data from active systems, subject to limited retention for security, fraud prevention, transaction records, legal obligations, and backup rotation.
9. Security and international transfers
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access, encryption in transit, private media access, and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
10. Privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; withdraw consent; limit certain processing; or appeal a decision. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We may verify your identity and may retain a record of the request as required by law.
Washington consumers can read our Washington Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. To submit or appeal a privacy request, email contact@everycal.ai with the subject “Privacy Request” or use the controls in the app.
11. Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate consent, contact us. For users under 18, EveryCal restricts automated calorie planning and may require adult or professional review.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will provide additional notice when required.
